About Us

HCT sits within Ceredigion County Council’s Learning Services department and has been actively involved in the delivery of work-based learning in Ceredigion for over 28 years.

HCT offers a wide range of training programmes and courses to the people of Ceredigion, seeking to both improve the employability of individual learners and the skills provision for employers in the County. In addition to working closely with schools in the delivery of both vocational and alternative curriculum courses, HCT delivers traineeship and apprenticeship Work Based Learning programmes on behalf the Welsh Government, currently via sub-contracting agreements with ACT Ltd. HCT also delivers training on a commercial basis to the wider community across various occupational areas.

HCT actively promotes the 14-19 Learning Pathways Agenda and currently delivers vocational training to many of the Ceredigion secondary schools to enable them to meet the Learning and Skills Measure.
